Fry Club Colts U13 (5) v St Vallier U13 (2)
23/04/06
Straight from the kick off Fry’s go on the attack and capitalize when Ryan Davis puts us one up after just 35 seconds. What a start!!
Dan Stone is in for a tough
game from the start having to mark the big St Vallier
striker who is an ever pending threat. Judging from some of Stoney’s challenges
though, he is definitely focused and up for it.
15 minutes gone and Fry’s
go two up when Jack Baber fires in a delightful half volley that is definitely
one of the goals of the season.
Tom Rose is having a great
game in the Fry’s goal and is coming out well off his line to stem the Vallier attack.
22 minutes and St Vallier
get one back from a corner when they smash the ball into the back of the Fry’s
net.
Play is going most of the
Fry’s way and Baber put them two ahead again when he heads in his second just
before half time. Ryan Ellett unselfishly sees the ball
over the line.
The second half starts off
well again for Fry’s and are unlucky not to score again
when Ryan Davis has another good shot but it is excellently saved by the St
Vallier keeper.
20 minutes into the second
half and Fry’s practically seal the points when Harry Pople gets the ball just
outside the are, steadies himself, and fires a great long range shot into the top right hand corner of the net. 4 – 1.
St Vallier didn’t let their
heads drop and carried on battling. Their big striker up front got his reward
when he slotted in St Valliers second goal 25 minutes into the second half.
There was no worry for Fry’s
though as straight away they won a corner and Harry Pople got his second, and
Fry’s fifth, when he headed in.
5 – 2 was how the game
finished, justifiably reflecting the great effort from the Fry’s boys.
